This video ad from Medicins Sans Frontieres is absolutley powerful, to say the very least. I can see why it is controversial, but the bottom line is..it impacts you. How you deal with that impact is your choice.
I think I am going to be processing how I feel about this video for a while. It forces you to have so many emotions. I don’t know know whether I applaud the effort to bring this type of suffering to light or am sickened by the exploitation of a child’s suffering. I am also torn over whether this ad addresses what will be done to help the situation. Yes, people need medical care, but is that a bandaid solution for what is causing the militia to inflict this kind of pain?
